Can the speed or damping of a gas spring be adjusted?

The speed and damping of gas springs vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Preparation of gas springs uses a variety of construction methods, nozzles, piston design and oil viscosity; all factors that affect speed and damping in gas springs.

A standard gas spring from stock has a fixed speed and damping, depending on force and size - this cannot be adjusted. If you have special requirements, it is possible to change the construction so these factors are as preferred.
